"Sydney Aquarium"

Located on the bustling Darling Harbour, the Sydney Aquarium is a dazzling showcase of Australia's marine life.

The OYC visited the aquarium on Friday, September 22 and had the experience of a lifetime.

Many different and unique exhibits can be found in the aquarium. Among these are the Murray-Darling River which displays 28 species of fish found only in Australia, Mangrove Habitat, Rivers of the Far North, Great Australian Bight, the Sydney Harbour Oceanarium, Rocky Shores, the Open Ocean Oceanarium, the Great Barrier Reef, and a touch pool.

The oceanariums are tanks that one can walk through and feel as if they were in water. The infamous Great Barrier Reef displayed the myriads of coral species it contains. The touch pool gives people a chance to feel various animals such as the sea urchin or a starfish. Some of the tanks held the predators of the deep, sharks.

At the end of the Aquarium was a gift shop, which many of the campers enjoyed.

The trip to the Sydney Aquarium was an enjoyable and breathtaking experience.

We hope you can enjoy it too.
